Excellion Group is a specialist engineering and technology group based in Gauteng, South Africa. We consult on, design, implement, integrate and support advanced electronic security, AI-driven surveillance and intelligent infrastructure.
Our clients run residential estates, sectional title developments, commercial properties, industrial facilities, retail environments and high-risk infrastructure. The common thread is operational risk with a number attached to it.
We work independently. No equipment supplier pays us, so the design answers to the site and to the risk register, nothing else.

Marius Yssel
Founder and Consulting & Development Director
An electronic engineer with more than three decades in enterprise security, AI video analytics and infrastructure programmes. Marius has run a national security technology practice, led IT and technical systems for a casino group across a region, and delivered programmes for Diageo, Brandhouse, Heineken, Windhoek Breweries, Sun International, Volvo Trucks and the Imperial group.
He holds a BTech in Electronic Engineering from Technikon Pretoria, and has been PMP registered with the Project Management Institute since 2000. Work has taken him across South Africa, Namibia, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
