Artificial intelligence
What works in production, what stalls in pilot, and what the running cost looks like once the demo ends.
An agency of Excellion Consulting

South Africa builds serious technology. Banking platforms at scale, security operations holding the line every night, networks stitched across a continent. Almost none of it gets told by the people who did the work. NexTechSA hands them the microphone.
What it is
NexTechSA publishes people who have run the system, carried the pager or signed off the design. No vendor press releases dressed up as news, and no rewritten wire copy.
The platform launched on 15 September 2026, founded by Marius Yssel. It runs as the media agency of Excellion Consulting, with its own editorial standard and its own audience.
The reason it exists is simple. San Francisco, London and Shenzhen decide what technology means. Meanwhile South Africa builds, secures and deploys at scale under pressure with less. The engineers are here. The war stories are here. The microphone was missing.
Built for the people who build.
Coverage
Every piece comes from someone with their hands on the work. The five areas were set so security keeps its place without becoming the whole identity.
What works in production, what stalls in pilot, and what the running cost looks like once the demo ends.
Architecture, migrations, developer practice and the monthly bill nobody forecast correctly.
Sensors and edge devices, drones and autonomous systems, digital twins, and the point where AI starts making the decision.
Physical and cyber treated as one problem. Video analytics, control rooms, identity and response.
Power, connectivity, data centres and the programmes holding them together, built where the grid argues back.
Editorial standard
NexTechSA runs sponsored items, and every one of them says so. The rule is written down and it does not move.
Any sponsored item carries the word Sponsored at the top, in the same size as the headline. The sponsor gets no say over wording, no preview and no veto.
Nobody buys their way into an article. The rule is what makes the audience worth reaching, and it is the reason sponsors get value from being there.
What sponsors get
Sponsorship buys placement and attention. It never buys the wording of an article.
For Excellion clients
A consulting firm with a readership is a different proposition from one without. NexTechSA gives Excellion clients a route to the market, and gives the group a reason to be in the room early.
